Trump’s new declassified UFO footage shows unexplained green orbs and flying discs

The US has released another batch of previously classified videos and documents linked to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) – the official government term for UFOs – as part of an ongoing declassification drive ordered by President Donald Trump

The US has unveiled another tranche of its so-called UFO files as part of an ongoing declassification programme mandated by President Donald Trump. The documents contain references to individuals reporting mysterious green orbs, discs and fireballs streaking through the sky, with investigators still unable to provide explanations for the encounters.

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said the “unidentified anomalous phenomena” had long sparked conjecture, stating: “It’s time the American people see it for themselves.”

More than 50 previously classified videos and documents connected to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) – the official government terminology for UFOs – were released by the Pentagon today.

Amongst the freshly disclosed material is footage captured by a US Coast Guard infrared sensor in April 2024, which appears to show a puzzling object flying near an aircraft over the south-eastern United States, reports the Mirror.

Another recording, entitled ‘Syrian UAP instant acceleration’, was captured by an infrared sensor aboard a US military platform in 2021 before subsequently being uploaded to a classified network in 2024, according to the Pentagon.

Military officials acknowledge many of the incidents remain “unresolved” and defy explanation. Numerous investigations have been conducted by the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), yet it has failed to uncover any evidence of extra-terrestrial activity.

Also featured in the latest release is footage from an undisclosed location under US Central Command. The clip, recorded in 2020, appears to capture a sphere gliding over a populated area before ultimately ascending higher and disappearing into the sky.

Last year, a senior US intelligence official reported witnessing “two large orbs flare up” beside their helicopter during a mission, the new documents reveal. The official described the orbs as being “orange with a white or yellow centre, and emitted light in all directions.”

Fighter aircraft were scrambled to attempt identification of the objects but failed, the official stated. The same orbs had instead begun “chasing” the fighters, the report notes. “We were virtually speechless after these observations,” the official said.

The Pentagon’s first tranche of documents, which stretched back to the late 1940s, garnered over a billion views globally, according to the Pentagon’s chief spokesman.

“In an effort for Complete and Maximum Transparency, it was my Honor to direct my Administration to identify and provide Government files related to Alien and Extraterrestrial Life, Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, and Unidentified Flying Objects,” Trump said at the time in a post on Truth Social.

“Whereas previous Administrations have failed to be transparent on this subject, with these new Documents and Videos, the people can decide for themselves, “WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?” Have Fun and Enjoy!”
