Mum begs ‘save my daughter, 23, from firing squad’ after Dubai murder arrest

Tess George has told how her daughter Brooke, 23, had called her from Dubai sobbing and terrified about her boyfriend before she was arrested on suspicion of murder

The devastated mum of a Brit facing the firing squad is begging someone to help save her girl in Dubai.

Tess George has told how her daughter Brooke, 23, had called her sobbing and terrified about her boyfriend, and went to get her passport from his home in the hopes of jumping on a plane to get home away from him. She claims Brooke wanted to leave their holiday in United Arab Emirates but tensions rose when she went to his home for her belongings.

The man died after being stabbed and Brooke was arrested on suspicion of murder. She claims she acted in self defence. If she is fund guilty, she could face a firing squad or life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Tess, 55, said Brooke has spent more than a week behind bars already and is being crammed in a police cell with ten other women with no access to a lawyer to help her. She says her daughter has “no clue” what is going on as she does not speak the language, saying they are all “terrified” about what is going to happen next.

Tess, of Gravesend, Kent also claims Brooke was strip-searched in the presence of five male officers, some of whom allegedly filmed the process. She said in the lead up to the incident that her daughter was “petrified”, and became erratic on her phone calls home, telling her mum she was scared of Treeby and her family then started trying to get her a flight home as soon as possible.

The pair had only been speaking since April, and Treeby invited Brooke to visit him at his flat in Dubai. She initially went in May and had a lovely time, but this trip was different.

Mum Tess said: “She was petrified. Absolutely terrified. She said, ‘Mum, I just want to come home. I’m scared.’ That’s all she said, over and over and over again. It was so hard to understand her or get information out of her because she was sobbing so much.

“I’ve never seen anyone like that. Not just my daughter.”

She claims Treeby took her back to the apartment so she could get her passport but then things took a turn, and she ended up fleeing the home and rushing to the airport.

There she was stopped by staff who noticed injuries on her, and she has been detained ever since.

She is now working with charities to try and get her daughter home, saying: “I have to try. Don’t make my little girl face the firing squad.”

Brooke was arrested on Monday (22 June) and has been charged with the murder of a man she began a relationship with after meeting him online.

She is currently detained at the infamous Bur Dubai Police Station where she is being interrogated by police – however, the TikToker has not yet had access to legal counsel or a translator.
