Woman stabbed roommate 93 times before describing brutal murder as ‘so arousing’
The victim met her killer while the pair were inside a psychiatric hospital, having grown close over their shared experience of adoption in Germany having come from Romania
A woman brutally murdered her roommate before describing the killing as “so arousing”. Romanian national Roxana H, 30, was strangled with a chain before being stabbed a total of 93 times at a highway rest stop in Saarland, Germany.
Simona B, who became her roommate after they met at a psychiatric hospital, was found guilty of the sadistic killing. Roxana’s body was discovered by investigators in a wooded area near to the motorway rest stop, that according to reports has long had a reputation of being used for casual sex.
The killer, who was described as having a mohawk and sharp, pointed teeth, was later found and arrested at a popular swingers club. Prosecutors accused Simona of getting an “orgiastic feeling while killing”, accusing her of messaging a friend in the aftermath of the murder to say that she had never experienced anything “so arousing.”
The pair, who according to a report by German news outlet BILD were roommates at the time of the killing, had first become acquainted while inside psychiatric hospital in Wiesloch, near the French-German border, growing close over their shared life experience.
Both women had been born in Romania, and yet had entered the adoption service in Germany and been raised by foster parents in Saarland.
Roxana, who graduated secondary school before training to be a nurse, struggled with mental health issues for most of her adolescent and adult life, spending time in a psychiatric hospital.
Speaking to BILD, Roxanne’s adoptive mother spoke about her daughter’s horrific killing, saying that her killer had brutally exploited her insecurity.
She said: “She just wanted to be loved. Sadomasochistic practices were foreign to her.” She also added that she regretted not being with her daughter that evening, but had felt she needed to be alone following the death of her own mum.
She said: “I could kick myself for not letting Roxana stay overnight with me that weekend as usual. But I needed two days to myself; my mother had died.”
The defence attorney representing the killer argued that the death was caused by a “loss of impulse control”, describing it as a “sex accident”, however this account was rejected and Simona was sentenced to life behind bars for her sick crimes.
