Influencer ‘stopped from boarding flight for being naked’ now banned from local gym

A fitness influencer has been banned from a gym chain for taking too many selfies. Edda Pilz, known online as Edda Elisa, was sent a letter from the gym after furious members complained that she’s hogging the mirrors.
The 25-year-old had her membership cancelled with immediate affect at chain John Reed Fitness after four years of training there. The glamorous German claimed the ban stems from jealousy from other female members who felt “provoked” by her repeated mirror poses.
Edda, who has 649,000 TikTok fans and 551,000 Instagram followers, said she only learned of the ban when her access card was suddenly blocked. She later received an official letter later informing her of an unlimited ban from all John Reed gyms worldwide – except in Switzerland.

Edda raged on TikTok: “I find this very strange, because the official John Reed account even reposts mirror photos of other members.”
She believes her large online following made her a target. The gym chain hit back, telling German media RTL: “We can confirm that Edda Pilz’s contract has been terminated without notice.
“She has repeatedly violated our house rules and had already been warned beforehand.”
The chain refused to give further details on the exact breaches.
Tensions reportedly boiled over in a gym members’ WhatsApp group, where one user allegedly wrote of Edda: “She has the IQ of a 10-year-old girl. With her, staying calm and talking in a composed manner is pointless.”

John Reed gyms state that each location can set its own binding house rules, but the chain has not revealed whether mirror selfies are explicitly banned.
The influencer says she was previously a regular at the gym with no issues – until her growing online fame apparently became a problem. The drama is the latest controversy for Edda.
At the end of June, she claimed she was prevented from boarding a flight because her gym outfit was deemed too revealing.

Edda was wearing tight-fitting sports getup during a heatwave with temperatures reaching around 30C. She was trying to board a Lufthansa flight when she was reportedly denied entry.
According to the influencer, the representative told her: “You cannot board.”
When Edda asked why, the employee reportedly replied: “You have nothing on. You are naked.”
The influencer, who lives in Berlin, fetched a jacket, put it on, and was then told to zip it fully closed before being permitted to board.
Edda, who has appeared on German reality TV shows such Ex on the Beach and Sommerhaus der Stars, boarded successfully after donning her jacket.
