France superstar Kylian Mbappé is the cover star of this year’s big EA Sports FC 27 video game.

The striker, who scored a record 10 goals in the World Cup to land the Golden Boot in America this month, returns to the franchise front for the first time in four years.

Mbappé will also be featured as the new cover athlete for EA Sports FC Mobile.

Real Madrid forward Kylian, 27, said: “To be featured on the cover of an EA Sports FC title for the first time is a very special moment for me.

“It’s an honour to continue my long-term relationship with the franchise in its latest chapter, alongside the players who have shaped its history.

“I can’t wait for everyone to experience FC 27.”

Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham and Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala were the stars jointly covering the front of the last edition of the game, FC 26.

Since his move to Real Madrid in 2024, Mbappé has excelled, delivering at football’s highest level.

He has finished as La Liga EA Sports’ top scorer in each of his two seasons in Spain and claimed the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League Golden Boot after scoring 15 goals in the competition.

He has sustained that momentum at the international level with a series of standout performances for his country over the summer, further cementing his place among the world’s elite.

The cover star reveal kicks off a week of announcements for FC 27, including the gameplay trailer reveal on YouTube which will go live at 5pm on Thursday, July 23.
