Horror as four decapitated bodies dumped outside government building

WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT: Cartel violence erupted in Mexico again as police discovered four decapitated bodies in an abandoned car outside a government building

Cartel thugs dumped four headless bodies outside a government building in the latest example of gang violence.

The gruesome incident unfolded in the Mexican state of Guerrero. Police found the decapitated bodies inside an abandoned vehicle near the state congress building in the city of Chilpancingo.

The area is one of many in Mexico currently experiencing a wave of violence fuelled by clashes between cartels vying for control of drug trafficking routes.

The drug cartels Cártel de la Sierra and Los Ardillos, a gang blamed by indigenous communities for the bombings in the impoverished mountains of the state, are the main players in the conflict.

Last month, violence in the area led to the evacuation of an indigenous community with drone strikes and gunfire attributed to Los Ardillos.

A statement from the Guerrero Attorney General’s Office said: “The corresponding investigations have been initiated and ministerial and forensic procedures have been deployed to clarify what happened.

“Specialised forensic personnel carried out photographic and written documentation at the scene to record and preserve the evidence found.

“Furthermore, to ensure the comprehensive processing of the vehicle as evidence in the investigation, the unit was transferred to the Forensic Services facilities of this institution, where specialised procedures continue under controlled conditions that allow for the proper preservation of the physical evidence and guarantee the chain of custody.”

The bodies were reportedly sealed with plastic and wrapped in blankets. They were left in the back seats and trunk of a white Nissan Sentra.

In a gruesome development, three heads were sealed with grey duct tape and left in the passenger seat, according to photographs released of the scene.

The car, along with the remains, was towed by a lorry from the Guerrero State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), with the support of State Traffic Police officers, and taken to the FGE’s Forensic Services facilities.

Police launched an investigation while they try to establish the facts of the hideous crime.

Forensic officers carried out photographic and written documentation at the scene to record and preserve the evidence.

The discovery came just one day after a municipal employee from Quechultenango, a town in the Guerrero region, was shot and killed on the same stretch of road while travelling in an official vehicle.

Meanwhile, a gang of Mexicans were discovered allegedly operating a meth empire out of a forest in Nigeria following a police raid.

Cops swarmed after discovering the site tucked away in Abidagba forest in Ogu and arrested three Mexican cooks and four Nigerian citizens as well as seizing 2.4 tonnes of drugs worth around £270 million in a raid on the lab.

The raid, which was carried out on May 16, was described by a spokesperson for Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency as targeting “an industrial-scale clandestine laboratory”.
