A woman has resorted to taking her clothes off while cutting men’s hair in an attempt to increase her customer base.

Brazilian hairdresser Daniella Motta, from Florianopolis in Brazil’s beautiful Santa Catarina region, has been charging punters bucket loads for the unique trim experience. Standard chops start at a whopping 3000 Brazilian Lira, which equates to just under £450 pounds.

Daniella, who originally worked as an adult actress and influencer before opening the nude barber shop, says that she is tired of her line of work being overly sexualised, explaining that she sees what she does as being “art.”

The 21-year-old said: “I understand that it sparks curiosity, but I’m not doing anything wrong. Everything operates by appointment, with rules and respect.

“Nudity doesn’t have to be treated as a scandal. To me, it’s art, freedom and also a way of making a living.”

Despite this view, the barber admits that some locals have shared concerns about her practice. Daniella said: “Some people came in asking what the place was because they realised it wasn’t a typical barbershop.

“When I explained it was a nude barbershop, some didn’t like the idea and said this wasn’t the right kind of business for the neighbourhood.

Daniella’s hairdresser does not except walk-ins, and instead its customers are encouraged to schedule appointments far before they want their hair cut.

She says that she came up with the idea for the business because she wanted to offer customers the chance to “feel free” when they get their hair cut.

She said: “”Why not create my own business in a field I understand, where people can also feel free? That’s how the barbershop was born.”

Explaining what customers get if they do book a session, Daniella said: “I cut hair, trim beards and offer a few grooming services to help clients feel comfortable.

“This isn’t meant to be an ordinary barbershop. People come here for privacy, personal attention and a space where they don’t have to feel self-conscious about their bodies or rushed like they often do in traditional salons.

“The difference is that the professionals work nude. That’s part of the experience.”

Daniella has big plans for the future apparently, explaining that she would love her unique barbers to offer a wider range of treatments for those that walk through its doors.

She said: “In the future, I’d also like to add manicures, pedicures and other beauty treatments.”
