Godzilla Arrives in Brick Form as the Largest LEGO Ideas Set Ever

Godzilla has stomped across screens since 1954, and the King of the Monsters finally receives an official LEGO treatment that matches the creature’s sheer scale. Set 21375 draws from the design seen in Legendary’s Monsterverse films, packing 5,363 pieces into a build that stands more than 70 centimeters tall when the head tilts upward and the heat ray shoots skyward. At roughly 27.5 inches high, 10.5 inches wide, and 15.5 inches long, the finished model towers over a standard minifigure that reaches only to the ankle, underscoring just how large the brick version really is.
New York designer Matthew Esposito created the original concept for a Godzilla set and uploaded it to the LEGO Ideas program under the handle MattE720. It took the idea over two years to gain traction, and only then did it pass the 10,000-vote threshold that puts a concept in front of the LEGO Ideas team for assessment. According to Esposito, getting the head right was a big difficulty, especially given Godzilla’s instantly recognizable profile and presence. The method they used, a combination of overlapping bricks in various shades of gray, each with a mix of smooth and intricate parts to simulate the creature’s scaly hide, was extremely effective.

Jagged dorsal fins rise along the back in bright blue tones drawn from the Monsterverse films, while a sweeping tail can be assembled to curve left or right depending on the display space available. Plus, Godzilla has movement at the head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and fingers, allowing you to pose him in a variety of ways. If you want to add some retro flair, replace the tongue portion with a heat-ray component to recreate one of Godzilla’s most iconic and nostalgic moments from the films. One good plus is that once assembled, the entire thing is rather stable, which is useful given how enormous it is, but this does make it more of a display piece than a play model.

The set carries an 18-plus age recommendation and a price of $449.99 in the United States, with equivalent pricing of £349.99 and €399.99 in the United Kingdom and Europe. It becomes available on November 27, 2026, exclusively through LEGO.com and LEGO Stores as the centerpiece of the company’s Black Friday offerings. If you buy the set between the 27th and 30th of November, while supplies last, you’ll receive a nice little bonus gift: the 359-piece set number 40888, which allows you to recreate the Godzilla logo over a cityscape, with a Mothra perched on a building and a neat little footprint that matches the scale of the main set.

The LEGO Builder app will provide you with the build instructions, which include zoom, rotate, and progress-tracking capabilities. It’s worth mentioning that the set coincides with a Godzilla season, as the new picture, Godzilla Minus Zero, is released at the same time. If you’re a Godzilla lover, or just someone who enjoys a massive, statement-making model, set 21375 is for you. It includes the largest LEGO Ideas model yet, as well as the satisfaction of displaying your own version of the King of the Monsters.
