A heroic armed citizen used his own gun to try to stop a manic gunman from killing people at a restaurant.
Footage of the moment was posted online and quickly went viral as the local, who was just out and about, attempted to get involved and stop a gunman as he opened fire on the In-N-Out fast food place. Heart-stopping footage shows the man with a handgun exchanging fire with the shooter outside the restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho in America, while others called for police to help. Officers eventually arrived and it was confirmed that two people were killed in the incident, with a further seven wounded.
The gunman is believed to have killed himself, according to police, with witnesses adding that the armed citizen “undoubtedly” saved lived by distracting the gunman long enough for diners and workers at the crowded burger joint to get away.

One witness, named as Lane Koehn, saw the whole thing and captured a video from the safety of his car.
Koehn, 34, said he was at a red light near the In-N-Out fast food stop when he saw someone with an AR-style rifle come out of the drive-thru.
A second man, the good samaritan, started firing at him with a pistol.
He said he then saw a woman in an In-N-Out uniform bleeding from the chest being dragged across the parking lot by another person in uniform but said he did not know if she died of her injuries, but said he tried to help.

Koehn, the armed citizen, and the employee then stayed with the wounded worker until paramedics arrived.
“She was pretty bad off, but I don’t know. I hope she made it,” Koehn told a local news outlet KPTV.
Police have yet to announce the identity and motive of the deceased gunman.
An investigation is underway.
